I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the Sage Centre for the Study of the Mind, in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, University of California, Santa Barbara. I completed my PhD in social behavior genetics in 2011 at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on the origins and structure of human social and political attitudes, addressing issues such as the genetics of in-group favoritism, the etiology of prosociality/altruism and cooperation, and the psychological and biological factors that influence political orientation and behavior. I use a variety of methods, including behavioral genetics, lab experiments, and brain imaging, to explore these topics.
